Gary guiding us through the site.

Free food. Yummy!

Our lecture- Graham Stoneman. Love him.

Our door gift- Wahaha.

The site visit is being organise by our lecturer Graham Stoneman- he is the Longest Serving Academic in SHU. Vary patient and kind lecturer.
Exited to look at how UK’s construction site looks like. We leave SHU at 12 noon via coach. The responses are overwhelming as 4 students can’t get on to the coach and have to join the next week site visit.
After 20min ride, we reach Stonelow Court, Dronfield. A four storey Timber framed care home is being constructed by Frank, Haslam & Milan (FHM-the host of today site visit).
This is the first time I have seen timber frame construction which are not common in Malaysia. That explain why I can’t see the column of most shop and houses. Gary- the Construction Manager of the site, guide us through the different phases of construction.
After visited the site, we have been treated with a mouth watering lunch. We even have been given a door gift by FHM to bring back. Thank you Mr.Stoneman and FHM!
